 Eye Care Tips

  * Take A vitamin diet to make eyes brighter. (papaya, eggs, fish, milk, cilantro etc.,)
Wash eyes with cold water to get sparkling eyes.

    * Put sliced cucumber over your eyes to treat dark circles.

    * Put potato slices on your eye to get rid off those dark circles.

    * Soak amla overnight in water and use this water the next morning to wash the eyes.

    * Soak cotton in Luke warm milk and cover eyes with it for 15 min.

    * To soothe tired eyes, dip cotton pads in chilled milk and place on closed eyes for 10 minutes. Now relax completely.

    * To completely relax the eyes and the surrounding muscles, close your eyes and think of something that is pleasant or soothing and at a distance. Now gently open your eyes and look into the distance. Next focus on an object at arm's length. Do this extremely relaxing exercise four or five times a day.

    * If your eye twitches, or your eyes are red and feeling itchy, massage your scalp with curd.

    * Soak 1 tsp. dry amla in one cup of water overnight. Next morning strain it through a muslin cloth and then add one extra cup of water. Splash your eyes with this solution each morning. This makes your eyes sparkle.

    * For Puffy Eyes: Grate a potato with its peel and apply on your closed eyelids for about 20 minutes and relax completely. You may even take a nap.

    * Wash your face before sleeping, and ensure that there is no make-up on your face before you sleep, because, make-up creams may spoil your face as it will be there for the whole night. It is better if no cream is applied. What I feel is, wash your face before sleeping and if at all you want to apply any cream, just apply night cream and none other than that.

Long Hair Care Tips

Long Hair Care Tips

 * Avoid sleeping with tightly braided hair or hair in a tight ponytail. The stress can cause breakage and/or hair loss.

*  When your hair is braided, make sure that it is not too tight or it could cause breakage and/or hair loss.

*If your hair is braided or you have a ponytail, use a specially treated band or scrunchie which will prevent breakage of your hair, limit your use of clips, bows, and untreated bands.

*Even if you plan on growing your hair out further you should trim your hair once every 3 months, if not split ends will cause your hair to break off and your hair will begin to lose it's beauty, if you plan on just maintaining your length, a trim once every month and a half to two months should suffice.

*Don't use a brush to detangle your hair, this will stretch your hair and may cause your hair to break off. Instead use your fingers, a pick, or a wide tooth comb to detangle your hair.

*When detangling your hair work your way from the tips of your hair up to the hair roots. Work on detangling one section of your hair at a time and go in a downward direction.

*Be gentle when detangling, pulling down on your hair too hard will cause breakage.

*If you detangle your hair before washing it, it'll be easier to dry and style as well as decrease the knots and tangles after you are done washing your hair.
*Don't rub your hair dry with a towell, instead blot the water out of your hair, when you rub, it'll cause your hair to tangle.

*Hair can get caught on cotton pillow cases and break when you are sleeping especially if you toss and turn a lot when you sleep. Using a satin or silk pillowcase where your hair will make it so that hair will slide across the pillowcase without getting caught. Another tactic to prevent breakage is to put your hair up in a ponytail on the top of your head with a scrunchie or specially treated band (that prevents breakage).

*An alternative to the silk pillowcase is to wear a satin or silk scarf over your hair before your sleep to prevent breakage.

*Brushing your hair is important because it spreads the the hair oils out across the length of your hair. Use long strokes starting from the roots of your hair when brushing and stroke your hand over your hair after you are done brushing to get rid of static.

Curly Hair Care Tips

Curly Hair Care Tips

* Limit shampooing your hair to no more than twice a week., shampooing strips your hair of its natural oils.

*Use a conditioner every time after you shampoo to re-moisturize your hair.

* Use a leave-in conditioner on your hair daily or every other day.

* Use a shampoo and conditioner that is specifically geared towards curly hair.
Avoid using narrow toothed combs and brushes, use wide-toothed combs instead which has less of a tendency to cause breakage and frizzing.

* To detangle your hair, in the shower start with your hair moist and conditioned (which will protect it from breakage), use your fingers to begin the untangling then finish with a wide toothed comb starting from the end going up finishing at the root of the hair. Then rinse your head with water and try to retain half of the conditioner in your hair. If you try to detangle your hair when it's dry, you will cause it to frizz.

* Let your hair aid dry to reduce frizzing, avoid brushing and using a towel to dry your hair. If you need to your hair to dry quickly, blot your hair with a towel, but do not rub it.

* Deep condition your hair once a month or more to re-moisturize your scalp and hair.

* Use a small amount of styling product with moisturizing ingredient(s) in it to keep your hair from frizzing when your hair is still slightly moist and gently style with your finger. Apply the styling one section so that it is equally distributed.

* Avoid playing with your hair or touching it as much as possible, the more friction that occurs on your hair will cause it to tangle and/or frizz.

how to dress Right for Your Body shape

Taking the guesswork out of dress shopping can be difficult, as you've probably asked yourself more than a few times, "what is the best dress for my body shape?" You're not alone, ladies. Finding the dress that best flatters your figure and conceals any trouble spots is quite a task. The vast selection of dresses out there doesn't help, either. we will guide you through the process and maybe even make dress shopping fun.

What Shape are You?

Body shapes are easily defined. You may look at yourself in the mirror and describe your body as curvy, slim, defined, muscular, tall, short or straight - and that's just for starters. You're on the right track with these very descriptive words, because they're the starting point for the wardrobe choices you make.

When it comes to dress shopping, it's important to recognize your shape so that you can shop for the styles that will most flatter your figure. That is the fun part - but first, let's go through the various body shapes and what defines each.

    * Hourglass shapes are rounded and curvy. The graceful curves of this shape are marked by a well-defined waistline, full hips and thighs and a medium or large size bust.

    * Inverted triangle shapes are large on top, with a generous size bust and a thick waist, and smaller on the bottom, with narrowed thighs and legs.

    * Oval shapes are balanced from top to bottom. A large bust, thick waistline and large hips define the oval.

    * Rectangle shapes are straight and somewhat squared, with little to no definition at the waistline, straight legs and torso, narrow hips and a may have a flat derriere.

    * Triangle or Pear shapes have narrow shoulders and torso, a small waistline and large hips. Extra weight is usually carried in the thigh area.

Dressing for your Shape

The key to choosing clothes that complement your shape is to achieve absolute harmony from tip to toe. It's not just about the colors that best suit your skin tone; it's about fabrics that don't cling, materials that don't bind and a piece that genuinely fits. The right dress shouldn't be too tight or too loose (although it's better to err on the side of caution and go looser if in doubt). However, the best fit is the one that flatters your shape and accentuates your most stunning features.

What Is the Best Dress for My Body Shape?

No more asking yourself "What is the best dress for my body shape?" in frustration, ladies! Chances are you've done a bit of searching already for a fabulous dress, maybe even picked out a few, but are still none the wiser about actually dressing for your shape. Based on the shapes we've defined, let's take a peek at the dresses that work overtime to highlight your assets and keep pesky trouble spots cleverly concealed.

Hourglass

Lucky you, curvy girl! Hourglass figures can show off their curves in form-fitting sheaths and A-line dresses. A stretchy sheath dress is comfortable and flaunts your shape in a classy manner. Shifts are also fantastic if you prefer to show less hip and accentuate the top half of your body instead. Salma Hayek and America Ferrera are great examples of curvy girls who know how to work with what they've

Inverted Triangle

For an inverted body shape, choose a dress that shows off your upper body. Concealing broad shoulders can actually make them appear larger, so a halter, strapless or sleeveless style is perfect. Details like a shirred waist, full skirt and bare shoulders are flattering on this shape. Also look for a-lines that lend the appearance of a shapelier bottom half. A classy silk halter dress is great choice, especially for warmer weather.

Oval

Full figures can take advantage of the trendy flowing shapes that are so hot right now. Empire dresses draw attention to the upper body and allow the rest of the fabric to softly flow over the lower half. Look for dresses with a soft v-neckline, a-line skirt and widely cinched waist to ensure that it fits your shape like a dream.

Rectangle

Adding definition is key for this shape. Look for form-fitting shapes, gentle ruching to create a curvy illusion and revealing necklines. A dress with a square neck and nipped or fitted waist is a great choice. Accents like belts can also create definition for this body shape. Full printed skirts are another dress element that can create a curvier look for a rectangle.

Triangle

Bottom-heavy shapes benefit greatly from styles that accentuate the top half of the body. Empire cuts are especially flattering, as are a-line styles. A dress with a lightly embellished neckline and straps serves to draw attention upward. Look for a dress bottom that flows loosely over the hips and below the knees.

Olive Oil and hair health

you can make one of the best homemade hair treatments with olive oil.
And your hair will be more manageable and look healthier and you will have a clean scalp after an Olive Oil Hair treatment.

We all have different types of hair one has straight hair, the other wavy and of course curly hair. Olive oil and dreadlocks mix perfectly, it makes the dreadlocks soft but without the build-up standard hair-grease or pomades would do.

Extra virgin Olive Oil has a high level of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E that moisturizes, protects and nourishes. It makes your hair grow stronger and can be kept in a longer hairstyle
without a must to cut. It is very beneficial for dry, damaged, or split hair.

how to use the olive oil

-heat it in a coffee mug in the microwave so that it's warm ....not hot ( if it's hot it will burn your scalp...if you heat it too much, let it sit & cool until it's cooled down enough that you can stick you finger in it for 5 seconds)

- use it on dry hair ( so the oil can seep in better)
take a comb & dip in in the mug & comb it through your hair in sections...making sure to get the ends good

- if there's any left over after your hair is fully saturated, I just pour the rest over my head (carefully)

-put a shower cap over your head & jump in the shower & wash up ( the heat/steam of the shower will help it get in the hair better....plus, it helps with saving time :) )

- after 5 minutes in the shower, take the cap off & just pour shampoo on your head BEFORE putting any water on it. ( you may need to shampoo it a couple of times in order to get the stuff out )

- you don't need to use a conditioner afterwords

- when you are in the shower, just be careful that you don't slip on the oil that comes off your hair

Why is breakfast important?

One of the best reasons is that, it's at the start of the day And it
is good to eat your biggest meal at this day because it gives you all/most of the energy and nutrients needed to start the day healthily. During your sleep, your body is digesting food from the previous day and burning calories. Eating breakfast restores energy.

Also, if you eat a large enough breakfast, you will feel less hungry during the afternoons or evening, and therefore consume less. This comes in quite handy as people who don't eat breakfast end up consuming plenty of food later in the day, and this massive amount of consumption leads to weight gain.

A proper breakfast gives your body the right nutrients and calories needed to jump start your day

Typical Foods for a Healthy Breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast sets you up for nutritious eating choices for the rest of the day. Getting a morning meal allows you to include more nutrients into your diet, increases concentration and productivity and could help you control your weight. Many foods that are commonly associated with breakfast are healthy choices and have a place in a well-balanced diet.

Fruit

Many people include fruit with a healthy breakfast, which increases your essential nutrient intake. Most kinds of fruit are healthy sources of vitamins A and C and getting adequate amounts supports your immune system and aids in wound healing. Fruit in the morning is also a healthy way to get carbohydrates, which fuels your body to get through your tasks. Eating fruit for breakfast also increases your fiber intake and apples, pears and raspberries are particularly high in fiber. Adding sliced bananas or berries to your cereal or oatmeal is a smart way to incorporate them into your breakfast; smoothies are a quick use for lots of fruit and whole fruit is commute-friendly.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a warm and hearty breakfast for a cold day. It is high in fiber, which fills you up because it is digested slowly. Fiber also supports healthy digestion and keeps cholesterol levels at a desirable number. Oatmeal is a whole grain, which means it is a good source of complex carbohydrates for long-lasting energy. Making a bowl of oatmeal topped with dried cranberries and a handful of chopped nuts will add some heart healthy fats, protein and additional carbohydrates to your morning meal.

Eggs

Eggs are a standard option on most breakfast menus, both at home or in a restaurant. They are quick to prepare, versatile and inexpensive while also being a healthy source of protein. Protein in the morning gives you energy and helps you focus. Making an omelet with diced vegetables will give you an extra dose of fiber, carbohydrates and vitamins A and C. Scrambled eggs with whole-wheat toast and fruit is the right combination of fat, carbohydrates and protein for a morning meal.

Waffles or Pancakes

Having waffles or pancakes for breakfast in moderate portion sizes, offers several benefits. Choose whole-grain versions for a larger intake of complex carbohydrates and fiber for energy and satiety. Top with a small amount of reduced-fat peanut butter for some healthy fats and protein and some sliced bananas for additional vitamins without overdoing it on fat and calories. Skip toppings that are often served with pancakes and waffles, but are just empty calories. This includes butter, syrup and powdered sugar. Applesauce is a sweet alternative to these items that isn't high in fat and calories and contains some additional fiber.
